There are two primary species of coffee that are grown to become that heavenly caffeinated beverage that we all love!  Interestingly enough, however, the more common species, Arabica, has a unique superpower – they are the only species of coffee that are self-pollinating!  But even though arabica coffee flowers self-pollinate, plants visited by pollinating insects produce more fruit and therefore more coffee.  As if we needed another incentive to save the bees!
